Compulsory Basic Training (CBT)

You must complete CBT before riding on the roads for the first time.  Only people who have passed their car test before 1st February 2001 and only want to ride a 50cc moped are exempt.

CBT certificates (DL196) are valid for two years from the date of issue.

Is for those who are 17 Years plus and want to ride something bigger than a 125cc.
